The fully restored Hampton Carousel is one of the last antique, wooden carousels in the United States that still works. Located in the heart of Hampton's downtown waterfront, the Carousel is a scenic focal point for residents and tourists. Its 48 horses and two chariots were hand-carved in 1920 by immigrant craftsmen from Russia, Germany, and Italy, and its original mirrors and oil paintings are still intact.
